Yulin (Shaanxi)

Yulin (Chinese: 榆林; pinyin: Yúlín) is a prefecture-level city with more than 100,000 inhabitants in the Shaanxi province of the People's Republic of China.

Yulin is in the far North of the province, close to Inner Mongolia. Yulin is close to the desert.

In 2004 a protest of peasants subject to disownment was violently suppressed.

Jin is spoken in Yulin.
