Xinzhai

Xinzhai is a small settlement in Yunnan province, China, only 8km from the border with Laos. Trade across the border is strictly controlled, and foreigners are not allowed to cross in to either country at this point. The dirt highway running north-south through Xinzhai features an important Chinese police checkpoint. The only road apart from the highway runs to the border.
