Vitez (Cyrilic: Витез) is a town in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is administratively part of the Central Bosnia Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 1991 the population of the Vitez municipality was 27,728, of which were 45.73% Croats, 41.37% Bosniaks, 5.42% Serbs, 4.91% Yugoslavs and 2.58% others. The town itself had a population of 5,502, of which 35% were Croats, 33% Bosniaks, 15% Yugoslavs, 13% Serbs, and 4% others.
The town is home to the football club NK Vitez and the basketball club HKK Vitez Paladij.
