Vanadzor

Vanadzor (Armenian: "Վանաձոր") — previously known under the Turkish name Karakilisa, meaning "black church," and later named Kirovakan — is a city in northern Armenia. It is the capital of the Lorri province, and the third-largest city in the country with a population of 107,394 (2001 census). The city is considered to be one of the most picturesque in the entire country, having beautiful summer homes or dachas. It is twinned with Pasadena, California, USA.
