Quinte West

Quinte West is a city in central eastern Ontario, Canada. It is located on the western end of the Bay of Quinte, and is on Trent-Severn Waterway. The southwestern part of the city also touches Lake Ontario. Quinte West is in the County of Hastings. Quinte West was formed as a city from entities such as Trenton, Frankford, Murray Township, and Sidney Township in the late 1990's. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are the local law enforcement authority. The current mayor of the city is Bob Campney. Of notable importance is the fact that Quinte West is home to 8 Wing Trenton, the Canadian Force's premiere air transportation hub. It also serves as the area's biggest employer.
