Qingyuan is a prefecture-level city in Guangdong province of the People's Republic of China. It covers an area of 19.000 sq. km.

Qingyuan is on Bei Jiang river. There is an expressway to Guangzhou. Qingyuan is surrounded by mountainuous areas. Cantonese is spoken here.
