Peruíbe is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2003 is 57,205, the density is 175.48/km² the area is 326 km². Peruíbe is located SW of the city of São Paulo, W of Santos and E of Sorocaba
Peruíbe is linked with a superhighway named Padre Manuel da Nóbrega which extends to west of Santos and is the westernmost terminus and future plans to extend westward, the number is SP-55. Peruíbe's urban area are entirely with the Atlantic Ocean and are aligned with its famous beaches in the state and one of the longest, the urban area covers a small part of the municipality, the population trend continues to grow. Most of the area north of downtown Peruíbe are forested with trees, mountainous and hilly and are part of the Sea Mountain Range. An Indian Reservation named Terra Indígena Piaçagüera (Piaçagüera Indigenous Land) which is home to the Guaraní tribe named Nhandhevá covering an area of 27.95 km² and a perimeter of 38 km.
