Mauthausen

Mauthausen is a small town in Upper Austria. It is located at 48°14′31″N, 14°31′01″E, about 20 kilometers east of the city of Linz. Mauthausen has a population of 4,850 (2001).

During World War II, it became the site of a German concentration camp complex. Approximately 122 000 people were murdered there.
