Kempele

Kempele is a municipality in the province of Oulu, in Finland. The municipilaty is located in Northern Finland just south of city of Oulu. The population of Kempele is 13,982 (January 1, 2005) and the municipilaty covers an area of 110.14 km² (excluding sea areas) of which 0.12 km² is inland water (January 1, 2004). The population density is 123.9 inhabitants per km² (January 1, 2004). The municipilaty of Kempele has been founded in 1867.
