Kandi

Kandi is a town in northern Benin. Originally a market town, Kandi is now primarily a farming centre. It lies on the nation's main north-south highway. It was a slave trade center in the mid 2nd millenium CE.

The town lies in the state of Alibori and is expected to become its capital.
