Ituiutaba is a city and municipality in northeastern Minas Gerais state, Brazil. Elevated to city status in 1901, it had a population in 2001 of 90,507 and a total area in the municipality of 2,694 km² (URBAN: 24.2 Km RURAL: 2,669.8 Km.) The altitude of the seat of the muncipality is 544 mts.
It is located in the west of the economic and geographical region called Triângulo Mineiro and is 140 km. west of Uberlândia on BR 365, which connects as far as Pirapora.
The climate is hot-humid with rains falling between October and March. There are sporadic cold spells between May and July.

In the economic sector the municipality produces soybeans and corn among other crops. Cattle raising for meat and dairy is important. Thee is an annual livestock fair, EXPOPEC, occurring in the month of September.
There are two private colleges: Fundação Educacional de Ituiutaba - FEIT, and Faculdade do Triângulo Mineiro - FTM.
