Itatiaia

Itatiaia is a Brazilian municipal district of the state of Rio de Janeiro. It is located to a latitude 22º29'46" South and a longitude 44º33'48" West, being the an altitude of 390 meters. Its population in 2004 belonged to 35870 inhabitants.

It hosts the first brazilian National Park, called Parque Nacional do Itatiaia (PNI).

It possesses an area of 225,54 km2.
