Igarassu

Igarassu is one of the first cities in Brazil, Pernambuco State, and is place of the oldest church still standing in this country. Having a very important historical city with buildings and houses agging centuries of colonial history was central ruler in the economic and social development of the state.

Igarassu intends to place the next vortex of cultural advanced styles from Brazil. Starting with the "Gold and silver orchestra" founded by Artenio Paulino dos Santos, in Igarassu, agregating and mixing alements of regional styles : "frevo", "coco" , "afoxé" , "ciranda", "maracatú" with classic music and pop ( hip hop and rock ). this inovation is resulted by a long process of debates in Igarassu with local intelectuals, artists and attempts to deny the evil influence of state and government through the lives of the average brasilian people. Inspired by liberian principles and ideals they condemn the parasitic and adicted influence of the state in the society. They fight also against the political segragation of the youth by side of the non-governmentel organization TransparentandAction (public policies with the youth).
