Hulunbuir

Hulunbuir (Chinese: 呼伦�尔; Pinyin: Hūlúnbèi'ěr) is a prefecture-level city in Inner Mongolia. Hulunbuir is the name of the entire region; its center is Hailar, which is administratively a district, and the actual city in reality.

Until October 10, 2001, it was a league - a class of territorial division unique to Inner Mongolia. It is 263,953km2 in area and according to the 2003 census has a population of 2.697 million and a gross domestic product of RMB 21.326 billion.
