Hoogstraten

Hoogstraten is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the city of Hoogstraten proper and the towns of Meer, Meerle, Meersel-Dreef, Minderhout and Wortel. On January 1, 2005 Hoogstraten had a total population of 18,512. The total area is 105.32 km² which gives a population density of 175.77 inhabitants per km². Every second weekend of August a Latin festival called "Antilliaanse feesten" is being held at Hoogstraten.
