Goba is a town in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia, located in the south-central part of that country. Goba is located at 7.01° N 39.97° S, approximately 300 km southeast of Addis Ababa and 10 km northeast of Bale National Park. The population as of 2005, based on calculations, is 34,369.
The town is known for its market and for honey, basketry and cotton shawl making. It shares an airport with neighbouring Robe, from which Ethiopian Airlines operates flights to Addis Ababa.
It was the capital of the former Bale Province, until the province was abolished with the adoption of the constitution of 1995.
