Gegharkunik

Gegharkunik (Գեղարքունիք) is one of the provinces (marz) of Armenia. It is in the east of the country, bordering Azerbaijan. Much of its area is the lake Sevan. Its capital is Gavar.

The province includes the Armenian exclave of Artsvashen which is completely surrounded by Azerbaijan (and currently occupied by said country).
