Foy

KNOWLEDGE OF Foy

Foy is a village in Belgium, near Bastogne.

In World War Two, Foy was occupied by German forces during the Battle of the Bulge. The American 101st Airborne Division held the wood just outside of town during the battle. After being relieved by Patton's Third Army, it fell to the 101st to take the town. The assault was spearheaded by Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division.
