Concepción de la Vega

Concepción de La Vega - often simply known as La Vega - is a city of the central Dominican Republic. it is the capital of La Vega province. Founded in the 1490s, it was moved after a severe earthquake in the 1560s and now lies on the bank of the Camú River. Local industries include coffee and cacao production.
