Červený Kostelec is a town in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has around 8,450 inhabitants.
In the centre of town, located by the main square there sits a famous red church from the 17th century, after which the town is named. Villages Bohdašín, Horní Kostelec, Lhota za Červeným Kostelcem, Mstětín, Olešnice and Stolín are administrative parts of Červený Kostelec. South of the town there is an old quarry that had been turned into a shooting range, for the ex-communist army. It is located on the outskirts of the large forest Ždar, that envelops the southern part of the town.
