Carency is a village and commune of northern France, in the Pas-de-Calais département.

It belongs to the communauté d'agglomération of Lens-Liévin (Communaupole) which gathers 36 communes, with a total population of 250,000 inhabitants.

Carency is also the name of the brook which constitutes the course upstream of Deûle and which crosses the village.

François Faber, winner of the 1909 Tour de France, died there in combat on May 9, 1915, during World War I.
