Bole

Bole (simplified Chinese: ��; traditional Chinese: �樂;pinyin: Bólè; also known as Bortala) is a county-level city in Xinjiang. The area is 7517 km² and the total population is 212,900 (1999). Bortala is Mongolian and means "silvery grasslands". Bole is the seat of Börtala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, which borders to Kazakhstan. Bole has a railway connection to Urumqi.
