The most important park is “Parque do Centenário, located in downtown, with a large lake, squares, sport courts, sport fields, space for walkers, runners, skaters and a “sambódromo (space for carnival parades). Alongside this park, there are several bars, snack bars, restaurants, dancing clubs and little amusement parks.

There are boulevards linking downtown to the periphery. These boulevards are interlinked by a system with circular avenues. The public transport is summarized in 4 routes. The routes 1 and 2 link the north to the south of the city. The routes 3 and 4 link the west to the east of the city. All routes pass by downtown and by “Anel Norte, avenue in which the mall and the intercity bus station is located. However, for riding more than 1 bus, it is necessary to pay twice the fare. There are not urban bus terminals, and the route’s itineraries are confusing and inefficient.
