América is the is the capital of the Rivadavia Partido in the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.

Located some 500 km from Buenos Aires city and 560 from La Plata, it was founded on May 16, 1904, and currently holds 10,361 inhabitants (2001 census [INDEC]).
