Akbarabad

The present day city of Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India was known as Akbarabad (after emperor Akbar) during the years of Mughal empire.

Nazeer Akbarabadi, a, 18th century Indian poet who wrote ghazals and nazms in Urdu adopted the word "Akbarabadi" (meaning "belonging to or from Akbarabad") in his takhallus (Urdu word for nom de plume).
