KNOWLEDGE OF Adamstown

Adamstown (named after Bounty mutineer John Adams) is the only settlement of Pitcairn Island and by default the capital of the Pitcairn Islands. It is located in the central north of the island and has a population of 46 (out of a total of 56 for the entire island). Adamstown is the smallest official capital in the world. This city is the main area where the residents live, eat, and sleep. Among some of the few buildings in this city are the church, the town square, and the town bell. Even though in an extremly remote area of the world, the school does have computer access, and the whole town has television and telephone access. Most houses in the city have a relatively flat roof, with white walls in and out side of the house, and a small living area.
