Aarup

Aarup (or Årup) is the name of several localities in Denmark. One of the largest is Aarup, - a town in central Denmark, located in Aarup municipality on the island of Funen.

This Aarup can trace its history back to 1500, but it would be 1860's before it would become a town. Until 1966 it was located in Skydebjerg-Orte municipality.

Aarup or Årup is also used as a surname and middle name in Denmark.
